Our Nurses Make the Difference
It's easy to recognize a Choices nurse case manager:

  • They're inquisitive, good listeners and obviously paying attention to details; they give you confidence that they hear and understand what you're saying.
  • They're clear, strong and to-the-point in their communications, but they know how to "connect."
  • They won't be pushed around, but aren't pushy either; it's clear they can build an effective relationship with doctors, claimants, employers and anyone else involved in resolving a case.
  • Our nurses can look for and identify inadequate medical documentation, medical reports that say the same thing over and over, showing no sign of improvement and giving no reason for the lack of progress.
  • They're out asking the hard questions that no one else will. And they're tough negotiators, too, watching the costs of lab tests and x-rays, transportation, medical equipment and more.
  • Above all, they're active participants, not just reporters, repeating what they're told by doctors and claimants. They're never satisfied with just knowing what a claimant can't do, but probing to find out what they can do. Or what needs to be done to achieve progress.
